2010 Presidential Survey

Obama needs my help!

I was thoroughly surprised today when I received an official letter from The Democratic National Committee asking me to submit my thoughts on how President Obama has been doing this past year.

2010 Presidential Survey

Furthermore, they called me a leader not once but twice!  To my knowledge I have never been asked by a President of the United States (nor any other country President, Prime Minister, King, Queen etcetera) for my evaluation of their performance.

I have to tell you I was flying high and ready to do my part and looked at the instructions which were:

1. First – Please express your opinion by completing and returning the enclosed 2010 Presidential Survey….

2.  And Second – Please help support President Obama’s initiatives by including a generous donation of $25, $35, $50 or more to the Democratic National Committee when you return your completed survey.

After reading the second point, I have to tell you I felt like Ralphie in the movie “A Christmas Story,” when he realizes that his top secret message from Little Orphan Annie is none other than a commercial for Ovaltine.  “A crummy commercial?  Son of a bitch!”

But it was far worse than any commercial.  It was,,, it was,,,, a crummy solicitation!!!

In a flash dreams of dining with high flying diplomats in Tuxedos, sipping martinis with Hillary and having my picture taken with President Obama disappeared into the horror of my bank account being decreased and perhaps even more requests for my hard earned dough.

Yet, I think I will complete this survey and even send in a check for the lowest amount possible.  I am reviving the dream…….

  1. Why would you give money to the politicians that are actively attempting to bankrupt the country? Mind you, this is no different than the Republicans. Vote with your dollar here – send them nothing. In fact, send them the survey back along with an invoice for your taxes and tell them you want the money back.
